New to Wine Tasting? No Worries!
We want your wine tasting experience to be relaxing and fun.
Wine tasting should be a fun and approachable experience for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or a newcomer to the world of wine, we want to make sure you feel comfortable and welcomed when you visit us for a tasting.
If you’re new to wine tasting, don’t worry! We understand that it can be a bit intimidating at first, but we’re here to help. We recommend starting with a wine varietal you know you enjoy, taking small sips and letting the wine linger in your mouth. It’s also a great idea to keep a record of the wines you taste so you can remember what you liked and didn’t like.
The most important thing is to have fun and drink responsibly. Whether you’re a seasoned wine taster or just starting out, we can’t wait to share our passion for wine with you!

Look
Hold the glass up to a light source or white background. Look at the wine’s color, clarity, and viscosity to get an idea of its age and grape variety.
Smell
Gently swirl the wine and bring it to your nose. Inhale deeply to detect its unique scent. Try to identify characteristics such as fruit, flowers or spices.
Taste
Take a small sip and allow it to linger in your mouth to fully experience the flavor. Pay attention to the wine’s sweetness, body, acidity, tannins, and finish.
Evaluate
Think about the overall experience and make notes about the wine’s overall quality, complexity and style. Did you like it? Would you try it again?
